Johnny Manziel Money Sign Draft
Money Manziel is no more.
Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel said on Wednesday that he's ditching his signature celebration, stating definitively, "The money sign will not be back."

Let us all take a moment to mourn one of the great signature celebrations of our time.
This major development is the latest part of Manziel's effort to show that he's grown as a person and a football player after his "disaster" of a rookie season.
"Last year is last year, it was what it was and it was not very good," Manziel said. "So for me, I'm trying to close that chapter and just build on what I've done so far this year and just move forward, and try to close that chapter in my life. Not one that I'm very proud of, not one that I want to look back on very much and dwell on, that's for sure."
That all makes a great deal of sense. Manziel was admittedly immature last season; he needs to grow up, and work harder and smarter in order get better at his craft and ultimately have success at the NFL level.
But seeing Manziel strip himself of the individuality that made him so much fun at Texas A&M, or even at the NFL draft, is still a little bit sad. Just look how happy he was sliding on a Browns cap and letting the crowd know what it was money time.
That kid is gone forever, never to be seen again, if Manziel stays true to his word.
Now all we have left are Aaron Rodgers's discount double check, Dez Bryant's X, Travis Kelce's rotating celebrations (the arrow is my favorite), Victor Cruz's salsa, Cam Newton's Superman, Colin Kaepernick's biceps, Arian Foster's bow, Rob Gronkowski's spike, Alfred Morris' home run swing, Odell Beckham's whip and... OK, yeah, we're probably fine on the signature celebration front.
But opposing defensive players now they have one less move to mock when they do something cool, and that's a bit of a tragedy. Who's going to tell the Bengals defensive line they can't do the money sign anymore?
